In the words of the Apostle Peter, we also hope to provide “a reason for the hope that is in” us (1 Peter 3:15) with responsible, well-documented responses to criticisms of the Church on YouTube, social media, and more.

Mission Statement
We build enduring faith in Jesus Christ by illuminating the Book of Mormon and other Restoration scripture, making them more accessible, defensible, and comprehensible to people everywhere.

Our History
John W. Welch and Lynne Hilton Wilson co-founded Book of Mormon Central. &nbsp;It launched in 2016, primarily writing KnoWhy articles to help explain passages of the Book of Mormon. We also started a free online library of Book of Mormon scholarship, called the Archive. We sought to continue the vision of F.A.R.M.S. (which was also founded by John W. Welch) by publishing accessible research on the Book of Mormon.
Over the years we have expanded our audience through YouTube videos, podcasts, and mobile apps. In 2023, we rebranded to Scripture Central, indicating that our research and mission includes all the Standard Works of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
