Jan Garbett, of Salt Lake City, a founder of Foundation Escalera, has seen the construction of over 181 schools in Chiapas, Mexico while providing more than 123,000 students with the opportunity to continue their education.
Jan is founder of EPIK Deliberate Digital, a non-profit that promotes digital wellness for young people to senior citizens. EPIK hosted the national Digital Citizenship Summit in Utah in 2017.
Active in community and state politics Jan has participated in programs and conversations in the public square from Utah to Iraq.
Jan and her husband Bryson started Garbett Homes, which builds zero-energy ready homes in Utah. They are parents of 8 children and 7 grandchildren.
