Dr. Lynne Hilton Wilson is a co-founder of Scripture Central. She earned her Ph.D. in Theology and American Religious History from Marquette University. Her doctoral dissertation compared Joseph Smith’s understanding of the Spirit with his contemporaries. Wilson’s master’s degree focused on New Testament studies. An accomplished cellist, Lynne played with the BYU Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestra. She returned to BYU and taught religion as an adjunct professor. 

Lynne has served in the Church Educational System for the past thirty-years, with assignments in France, Belgium, Wisconsin and, most recently, California. She is a popular presenter at BYU Education Week, the Society of Biblical Literature, Mormon History Association, F.A.I.R, Society for Mormon Philosophy and Theology, BYU Sperry Symposium, Silicon Valley Educational Conference, and Stanford Friday Forums. 

Her previous publications include: Christ’s Emancipation of New Testament Women; Nativity Narratives; Learning the Language of the Lord: A Guidebook to Personal Revelation; and articles in BYU Studies, the Interpreter, Religious Educator, and the BYU Religious Studies Center. 

She and her husband, Dow R. Wilson live in Palo Alto, California. They have seven children, all with red hair, and five grandchildren, with blond, ginger and brown.
