My professional background is in strategic and financial planning for large health care organizations. I spent 7 years doing this type of work as a consultant, finishing this period as a Principal with Booz Allen & Hamilton. At Catholic Healthcare West, I served as Director of Finance and Strategy before being named the Chief Operating Officer for what became a group of 45 hospitals. At Kaiser Permanente, I served as Chief Financial Officer for their Northern California Region before serving in their corporate office as Senior Vice President of Financial and Strategic Planning. Kaiser is the largest integrated healthcare system in the United States.

Following my 35-year career in health care, I received a call to serve in the Church as a General Authority Seventy. During this time, I served in several area presidencies including North America Northeast, North America Southeast, Utah and Asia (which includes 18 countries in which the church has a presence). Additionally, I served in the Temple Department for 5 years including 3 as the Executive Director. My knowledge of church headquarters may be helpful in finding ways to expand the working relationship between Book of Mormon Central and the church.
