Scripture Central Announces New Website
Post contributed by
Scripture Central
Scripture Central is pleased to announce the initial launch of our new website, ScriptureCentral.org, as a powerful resource for studying the scriptures.
This website consolidates over a dozen websites that make up the Scripture Central ecosystem. When the organization first began in 2016, we launched as Book of Mormon Central and focused on providing study resources for the Book of Mormon. Since then, we have steadily expanded to create Centrals for other books of scripture and gospel topics. Understandably, this led to a decentralization of our resources and brands.
In 2023, we sought to bring more clarity of vision to our organization by creating a parent brand for all the Centrals, called Scripture Central. At that time, the technology was not yet in place to support such a vast array of brands and Centrals on a single website. Over the last year, we have worked hard to upgrade and seamlessly migrate our websites to ScriptureCentral.org, making it be the single source for all our content.
Scope of the Website
Development of this complex technical project is ongoing, but we are happy to announce that our first viable iteration of the website is ready for the public . As of today, ScriptureCentral.org brings the following websites under one roof:
- Book of Mormon Central
- KnoWhy
- Evidence Central
- Library or Archive
- Central de las Escrituras (Spanish)
- Central das Escrituras (Portuguese)
With the launch, Scripture Central has added a brand-new Portuguese version of the website to support our many creators and projects from Central das Escrituras.
In the coming weeks and months, you can look forward to the rest of our websites being upgraded and migrated to Scripture Central:
- Doctrine and Covenants Central
- Pearl of Great Price Central
- Bible Central
- ScripturePlus
- Book of Mormon Explorer
- Messages of Christ
We ask for your patience as we continue this transition. You may still be able to access old websites for a short period of time, but eventually all pages will redirect to their corresponding page on the Scripture Central website.
How to Use the Website
The Scripture Central website is organized into four sections designed to make your scripture study easy and our gospel resources more accessible.
Read Scriptures
Under the Read Scriptures tab, you can read the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price. For those who love the ScripturePlus app, we are in the process of upgrading and seamlessly migrating all the features of ScripturePlus to the Scripture Central website so you can do your in-depth, verse-by-verse scripture study on your browser in addition to on the ScripturePlus app.
In future releases, we will add all the verse-by-verse features from ScripturePlus, including the following:
- Commentaries
- Reading Plans
- Images
- Videos
- Charts
- Quotes
- KnoWhys
- Evidences
- Pearl of Great Price Insights
- Historical Settings
Gospel Study
Under Gospel Study, you can find everything you need to teach or study the Come, Follow Me curriculum. Every week, we curate the best podcasts and articles across the web for illuminating that week’s block of scripture passages.
Gospel Study is also where you can find all the old Centrals. What used to be Book of Mormon Central, Doctrine and Covenants Central, Pearl of Great Price Central, and Bible Central can now be found under this tab, along with all the best articles and videos for each volume of scripture.
Projects
The Projects tab is where you can quickly find all the YouTube series, podcasts, articles, and apps that Scripture Central produces. Our current video and podcast series include:
- Scripture Study Insights with Tyler Griffin

Library (Archive)
The Scripture Central Library (formerly known as the Archive) is an exhaustive repository of gospel scholarship and is the foundation of our digital ecosystem. It can be accessed by tapping the search icon (or under Gospel Study). The Library has over twelve thousand items of gospel scholarship, research, devotion, and multimedia.
Our enhanced search function allows users to search all our gospel resources by title, topic, author, and most impressively, by scripture reference. For example, you can type in “1 Nephi 1” to output all content in our Library relevant to the first chapter in the Book of Mormon. You can perform a search as specific as a single verse (1 Nephi 3:7, for example) or as broad as multiple chapters at a time (such as 1 Nephi 1–7). We hope this allows individuals, families, and gospel teachers to more quickly find materials to enhance their scripture study and teaching.
Moving Forward
This website is continually developing and improving. Within the next few weeks to months, we will populate ScriptureCentral.org with more resources to study the Doctrine and Covenants, the Bible, and the Pearl of Great Price.
We will also move toward combining the ScripturePlus app with the Scripture Central website so that users can benefit from all the study features of ScripturePlus and the more comprehensive resources of the Scripture Central website.
As we launch this new website, we are eager to improve the user experience promptly. Through our Contact form, please let us know your thoughts and notify us of any problems you encounter.
We believe that as it progresses, this website has the potential to be the strongest central resource for all things scripture for Latter-day Saints and Christians at large.
