Abstract

Alma's son, Corianton, forsook the ministry and went after the harlot Isabel (Alma 39), but often we look over how he repented and continued faithfully in preaching. His repentance process required a great change of heart, especially since there was much he didn't understand that his father had to teach him. Repentance directed him to the Savior's light. He is one of the unsung heroes of the Book of Mormon because while the first chapter dedicated to him is about sexual sin, Alma 49:30 refers to his ultimate change of heart: "Yea, and there was continual peace among them, and exceedingly great prosperity in the church because of their heed and diligence which they gave unto the word of God, which was declared unto them by Helaman, and Shiblon, and Corianton, and Ammon and his brethren, yea, and by all those who had been ordained by the holy order of God, being baptized unto repentance, and sent forth to preach among the people."

Destinee Park was born and raised in Orem, Utah, and first had a love of art at a young age. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in the Arts and Visual Communications program at UVU, and still spends much of her time working on designs and painting projects. Most of her art is created in oils, spray painting, or pencil and charcoal.
