Abstract
Lehi was warned in a dream that he should flee Jerusalem with his family to escape a plot to murder him. They left with only what was essential for extended travel in the wilderness. Christensen's art is a constant mix of naivete and sophistication. This is seen here in the clumsy but charming foreshortening of the camel and the carefully planted, hazy atmospheric perspective of the background.
