Abstract

Miller discusses the animals which appear in the Book of Mormon record. He discusses the difficulties of identifying some animals because of a lack of specificity in the text and names that may have been changed during the translation. Miller also summarizes some of the difficulties with preservation of animal remains because of the Mesoamerican climate. While some animals from the Book of Mormon have not yet been identified, we should be open to the probability of more being found in the future.
