Abstract

This series is a detailed reconstruction of the epic milieu and ancient historical setting in the third millennium B.C. in Mesopotamia and Asia relative to details about the Jaredites: their ships, shining stones, government, wars, society, and worldview. The ninth part covers annihilation-style warfare, Nephite usage of Jaredite names, and the legacy of the Jaredites as "hiders."
