Reyna Aburto
Reyna has been a co-host of Scripture Central’s Estudio de las Escrituras podcast with her husband Carlos and her friend Alejandro Orozco since 2025. She studied Industrial Engineering in Nicaragua and holds a degree in Computer Science from Utah Valley University. She has worked as a translator for more than 30 years and now works as an instructor and coordinator at the Utah Valley Institute of Religion. Additionally, she is the author of Reaching for the Savior, co-host of the Consecrating Your Life podcast with her daughter Elena, and co-host of the Anda conmigo podcast from the Institute of Religion.
She currently serves on the Doctrinal Evaluation Committee at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Headquarters. Previously, she served on the Primary General Board and as the Second Counselor in the General Relief Society Presidency. She was born in Nicaragua and lives in Orem, Utah. She and Carlos have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Reyna loves having conversations about the scriptures and bringing the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
