Po Nien (Felipe) Chou is a professor and religious educator for the BYU–Hawaii Religion Faculty. He received a BS in Emergency Management from George Washington University, a M.S. in Health Science and a PhD in Educational Leadership & Foundations from Brigham Young University (BYU). He has had a variety of assignments in and outside the United States with the Seminaries and Institutes (S&I), the BYU–Hawaii and BYU Religion Department, the Correlation Research Division, and the Church History Department. He has served in a variety of church callings including stake president, counselor in a mission presidency, high councilor, bishop, temple ordinance worker, early morning seminary and institute teacher, full-time missionary in the California Ventura Mission, and the Curriculum Resource Committee at Church headquarters. He has presented at various venues and published articles in the Ensign, Liahona, Church News, Religious Educator, Latter-day Saints Historical, BYU Church History Symposium, BYU Sidney Sperry Symposium, as well as books through BYU RSC and Deseret Books entitled Voice of the Saints in Taiwan and Voice of the Saints in Mongolia. He is married to Petra Chou and they have four children.
