Carlos Aburto
Carlos Aburto has been co-host of Scripture Central’s Estudio de las Escrituras podcast with his wife Reyna and his friend Alejandro Orozco since 2025. Carlos studied Spanish at Utah Valley University. He has been a translator for more than 30 years and has also worked as a Seminary teacher.
He has served as a ward clerk, young men’s president, bishopric counselor, branch president, Gospel Doctrine teacher, elders quorum presidency counselor, temple and family history leader and high councilor. He is from Mexico and lives in Orem, Utah. Together with Reyna, he has three children and three grandchildren. He loves exercising, playing the drums and reading books. Carlos enjoys motivating people to have conversations about the gospel of Jesus Christ in their home, so they discover the wealth of knowledge and feelings we all have inside.
