Skin of Blackness as Body Paint in the Book of Mormon

When I first learned this one, small thing about ancient Mesoamerica, the Skin of Blackness the Lamanites had all of a sudden made a lot more sense. A recent journal article published by Cambridge University could mean that the Book of Mormon's "skin of blackness" was actually referring to black war paint or body paint.
