The calling of prophets in the story of Enoch and other Old Testament prophets typically includes two experiences with the divine as part of their ministry. The details of the first interaction shares much with the purposes and experiences of temple courtyards and the second interaction shares much with the purposes and experiences inside temple holy places. These two experiences in prophetic callings can thus be related to the progression experienced in modern LDS temples, demonstrating that all the faithful are being called to carry the testimony of Jesus into the world.
