Heaven's Code: Temples and Texts

The Book of Abraham has been a controversial book for Latter-day Saints due largely to its connection to some Egyptian vignettes that were published with it along with some explanations that Joseph Smith gave to the images that is largely different from what modern Egyptologists say they mean. In this video, Dr. John S. Thompson builds upon a recent publication by Dr. John W. Welch and Michael D. Rhodes to show what Joseph Smith is doing with these images and how his Explanations reveal a temple progression that both the ancient Egyptians and Israelite understood--an ancient progression that is reflected in the story of Abraham's life and also the modern temple endowment.
