Did Lehi's family travel from Jerusalem to the Red Sea in just three days?

The journey of three days does not refer to the distance it took to get from Jerusalem to the Red Sea. Rather Lehi first departed from Jerusalem and came down near the Red Sea after which he then traveled three days until he reached his first camp at the Valley of Lemuel.
