Sister Yee holds undergraduate degrees in fine arts from both Brigham Young University–Idaho and Brigham Young University. In 2019, she earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from BYU, a degree she pursued while already established in her career to further her ability to serve and lead.2
Professional Career: Disney and Church Animation
Sister Yee’s professional background is unique among General Officers of the Church:
Disney Interactive Studios: She spent 13 years at Disney, serving as a concept and texture artist and later as a senior producer.3
Church Employment: In 2016, she began working for the Church as a manager of special projects and the animation team for the Publishing Services Department. Her work has been instrumental in creating the visual tools used to teach the gospel to children and youth worldwide.4
Recent teachings
During the 2026 Relief Society devotional in March, Sister Yee testified of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for you.
"We were not meant to pass through our challenges and heartaches on our own. We were meant to have a Savior, One whose divine power, love, and relief is personal. He desires to satisfy and soothe the aching soul."
She also talked about one of her paintings entitled, "And I partook," one she mentioned in her 2024 general conference address. She shared that the meaning of that painting has changed over time, and that's how our relationship with Him will be throughout our lives.
"How we see Him in our lives will change as we choose to believe in Him, learn of Him, repent, and let the reality of His Atonement reach into all parts of our lives."
