Messages of Christ Video Release: The Cleansing of the Leper - The Untold Story

Explore what happened after Jesus Christ healed the leper in Mark 1:40-45 in a new, groundbreaking YouTube production by Scripture Central on the Messages of Christ channel. Witness a historically accurate and deeply moving priestly cleansing ritual performed at the temple in Jerusalem, and experience profound relief alongside the leper. This 9-minute dramatized reenactment, accompanied by a supplemental explainer video, is the first ever done of this beloved biblical account, setting the stage for more of its kind to come.

The video opens with a looming view of the Old City, the Kidron Valley nestled below it. Suddenly, the viewer is in the streets of the Old City where a priest runs urgently through crowds of passersby, rushing to deliver news of the healed leper. Outside the temple entrance awaits the former leper himself, clean, and waiting to be admitted. The subsequent cleansing of the man in the temple by the surprised priests alludes to The Healer whose hand had touched this societal outcast.
