Abstract
A short historical essay on the Kirtland Camp, when a number of the leading brethren of the Church removed themselves from Kirtland after a bitter apostasy in that area exposed them to danger. They would travel to Adam-ondi-Ahman, which they would have to leave a month later due to the persecutions of the Mormon-Missouri War of 1838.
