Abstract

This issue of BYU Studies contains articles on a variety of topics. John Devitry-Smith tells the gripping story of the Julia Ann, a ship that wrecked on its way from Australia to California, and the fate of the LDS converts it carried. Kenneth Godfrey looks at primary sources related to the intriguing story of Zelph and the artifacts found by the participants of Zion's Camp in 1834. Stan Albrecht gives statistics about religiousity in America and Mormon rates of growth, inactivity, and reconversion. This issue also contains poetry and book reviews.
