Abstract

Summary Tyler emphasizes the importance of covenantal belonging and relationships between individuals and God, as well as within a community. King Benjamin's discourse is analyzed, illustrating his humility and service as a leader who focuses on empowering his people rather than boasting of his own accomplishments. The concept of 'we' over 'me' is highlighted, encouraging selflessness and Christlike service in relationships. The life and service of Jesus Christ are presented as the ultimate example of giving without expecting a return, perfectly embodying the attributes of being submissive, meek, humble, patient, and full of love. The story of Peter Nelson and his sacrifice to contribute to the St George Tabernacle demonstrates the principle of prioritizing communal needs over personal desires.
