Abstract

Nephi's brothers plotted to kill him, saying that he wished to rule over them. Like his father before him, Nephi was warned by the Lord to flee with his family and followers into the wilderness. Nephi, front left, leads his people in this nighttime march. The clothing style is very similar to the classical styles that Christensen would have seen at the Royal Academy and in European religious painting.
