Abstract

Youth Submission to the 2020 Book of Mormon Central Art Contest.

In Ether 2, God talks with the brother of Jared and commands him and those he is with to build barges. And so they did as he commanded, and they would call upon the Lord and ask him what ways would be fit in order to build it. But when the brother of Jared sees that the vessels have no light he cries unto the lord again. And the lord asks, “ What will ye that I should do that ye may have light in your vessels?” And the brother of Jared went and did molten out of rock 16 stones. And then he went back unto the Lord and asked in faith believing that God could do all things, brought the stones that God would touch them and they would become light. And so because of the brother of Jared’s faith, he did. I love this because it shows how through faith we can find light, in this circumstance it was literally, but it could also be applied spiritually. The bother of Jared put in the work and then went to the Lord in faith that he could satisfy his need. This is an example that we can find light in the Lord.
