Abstract

Lehonti is a leader of a group of Lamanites who had rebelled against the Lamanite King's command to go to war against the Nephites. Amalickiah was given command of the those forces loyal to the king but the majority followed Lehonti and made him their king. Lehonti stationed his men at a place which was called Onidah on the mount Anitpas. Amalickiah parked his army at the base of the mountain and formed a treacherous plan. He tricked Lehonti into accepting command of all the forces in return for placing him, Amalickiah, second in command. Then, slowly, Amalickiah had his servant poison Lehonti. When he died Amalickiah took control of the entire army.
