Abstract

Submitted to the 2021 Book of Mormon Central Art Contest.

This painting is based on the adversity that Joseph Smith faced as found in Elementos de la historia de la Iglesia pg. 257; D&C 121:1-6; D&C 122; and Come, Follow Me, October 18-24.

[Google Translate] I was born in Chillán, Chile, in 1977. I have liked art since I was little. I served a mission, and I am a professional risk preventionist. I did not study art because it was not very profitable despite my ability, but I have done many pieces. I was sealed to my wife on February 1, 2020. I have 2 children: a 13-year-old, Daniel Helaman (from my previous marriage), and a daughter of almost 6 months, Alma Alexandra. My wife and I enjoy the Book of Mormon Central videos, and we study together on the Sabbath. Our favorites are “Te lo cuento en 10,” “Melody dice,” and Come, Follow Me with Pepe Valle.
