Christ Among The Nephites

This piece is entitled, "Christ Among The Nephites".  This piece of artwork shows two scenes depicted in the Book of Mormon during the ministry of Christ in the Americas.  Particularly the ascension of Christ in 3 Nephi 11 at the temple in Bountiful and ministering to the children found in 3 Nephi 17.  These two moments in the Book of Mormon show a side of Christ that may not be as prevalent in other scripture.  Its a softer more tender side of Christ that shows a love for his children.   These two moments are combined by a central image of Christ with his arm extended to the viewer as if inviting to come and partake of the goodness of the message contained in the Book of Mormon, "Another Testament of Christ".
