"I have been asked the question, as have others of the ministry no doubt, “What evidences are there to establish the credibility of the Book of Mormon?’'’ and now, after years of teaching and defending the Book, I am convinced that the geography, taken from a close study of location as found in the record itself, is the very best evidence that can be furnished to authenticate the record. Confident that the record gives a true history of ancient Americans who once lived upon this Western Continent, I have tried to make the Book itself give to us the much-to-be-desired map.
