God’s servants? | 64 1O, that You would rend the heavens, 2as when fire kindles brushwood, to make Your name known to Your adversaries, 3When You did awesome things, which we were not looking for, 4And since ancient times, no one has heard, 5You meet him who works righteousness [and rejoiceth him that remembers][2] you in Your ways; in [righteousness there] is continuance, and [such] will be saved. 6But [we have sinned][3]; we have all become as one who is unclean, and all of us wither like a leaf, 7[And none][4] calls on Your name, for You have hidden Your face from us 8But now, O Lord, You are our Father. We are the clay 9O Lord, be not exceedingly angry, 10Your holy cities have become a wilderness. 11Our holy and glorious House {Temple}, 12At such things, O Lord, will You hold yourself back? |
